This quilt is to
commemorate our second wedding anniversary. We bought the blue
shaded fabric at a store in San Luis Obispo, CA. We were married
in that area. Since the second anniversary is related to cloth, it
seemed a natural thing to do. My husband even did the stars for
the star blocks. Those are two little dragons kissing on the top
block. The squares on point are our zodiac symbols and the center
one has our names and the date we married.

This is my
insanity quilt. It is made from all the scraps I had on hand last
spring. It is just made by sewing scrap to scrap, squaring them
off and doing it again and again. Then I sewed odd shaped blocks
back together again, till the whole quilt was one big piece.
I backed it with flannel, didn't use batting, and stipple quilted it.
It makes a great light weight throw.

This photo of one
of our cats just seemed to say, "make it into a quilt"

So, I did! I like how this turned out and hope to do more in the
future.

This attic window quilt was made for my daughter. I
used the idea that you were looking through a bunch of windows into an aquarium
tank.

This is an Irish chain quilt I made for my son. I
didn't realize I was making a KING size quilt when I started! I also had
directional fabric to work with. It is done with tiger stripe fabric and
other tiger prints.

This quilt has all the orphan blocks I had on hand
when I started it. Some are from swaps, some from the classes I taught
and some were experiments I tried!
